Melanie McDonagh: The bra is not just a fashion item, it has been a feminist gamechanger, London Evening Standard

$ 12.50 · 4.6 (166) · In stock

When Gita Peller, a Hungarian immigrant, and Bertha Rigby, a Molton Street corsetiere, first set up in business in 1939 as London’s premiere brassiere sellers they can’t have anticipated quite the phenomenon they set off. In 1960 the shop acquired the Queen as a customer — she still is — and now Rigby & Peller is a veritable bra empire, with offshoots on Fifth Avenue and, er, north Yorkshire and sales of £9.7 million in 2014.
