Kari Marie (Lahvic) Wooldridge was born on May 26, 1986 in Iowa City, the daughter of Robert and Debra Lahvic. She grew up in the Knoxville area and had currently been working as a CNA for Home Health Care in Pella.Kari enjoyed hanging out at Cross-Walk while growing up. She liked outdoor activities including fishing, camping and hiking. She was fascinated by frogs and had a large collection of them. She also liked to play volleyball. Most of all, Kari loved spending time with her family and playing with her son.Kari passed away on Tuesday evening, July 17, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 26 years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Naomi Wooldridge; grandfather, Merle Kukuk; and uncles, Michael and Roy Lahvic.Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Robert and Debra Lahvic; sister, Tamara Lahvic; brother, Travis Lahvic; husband, Robert Wooldridge; children, Conner and Braelyn Wooldridge; grandparents, John and Shirley Lahvic and Jean Kukuk and many aunts and uncles. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 20 at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville with family hours from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Rietveld of Riverside Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, c/o Shirley Lahvic, 36 Brook Circle, Pella, IA 50219.
