Sports bras that are too tight can impact athletes' breathing

When a sports bra is too tight during exercise, it can impair breathing and impact energy and performance, according to a new study. Researchers examined nine elite female runners as they worked out on a treadmill while wearing sports bras of varying tightness. The study found that the looser bras allowed the women to run more efficiently by taking breaths that were deeper and less frequent.
